The walk way, Fushimi Inari, is a really big loop and there's a bunch of shrines all along them dedicated to the Shinto fox spirit. (I think) but it's weird because at each shrine there's an accompanying concession stand with really expensive trinkets and drink vending machines. but you spend about 2 hours climbing a gorgeous mountain.
