    “noh?” as in: "please, not in the face......NOHHHH!"?

    performane? performane? I’ll have to look it up………Oh yes, “performane!” I found it. Right next to “pastery” in my copy of Neal’s Dictionary of Apocryphal and Dubious Words and Phrases:

    “performane: n. 1. that which grows on the face of a lion during puberty. 2. a giant frizzy wig worn by actors playing villainous-looking characters in Noh theater performances attended by people who don't spell-check their blog entries before posting them usu. to great comic effect. Sometimes referred to as a ‘fire light noh performane’ esp. when red in color.
